Motorists can expect an unpleasant surprise this Easter when they fill up at petrol stations across the country.
Petrol pumps may run dry because of a threatened driver's strike scheduled to start on Tuesday.
More than 35 000 workers went on strike in March 2005, resulting in pumps running dry at filling stations for up to a week.
Economists said the latest strike could cost the country at least 13-million-rand a day in lost production and earnings.
The Fuel Retailers Association said Caltex and BP service stations would be worst hit should the strike go ahead.
