Three people were injured in a collision between an Opel Corsa and a Toyota Yaris on Old Paarl Road, near Annondale Road in Brackenfell, early this morning.

The 19 year old driver of the Corsa sustained serious injuries in the collision and was taken to Tygerberg Hospital.

A forty three-year-old man, who was the driver of the Yaris, was in a serious but stable condition and was taken to N1 City Hospital.

A nineteen-year-old passenger of the Yaris sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Durbanville Medi-Clinic.

”The Fire Department assisted paramedics in rescuing some of the patients with the use of hydraulic rescue equipment. The cause of the collision was not clear on the scene,” said ER24 spokesperson Tristan Wadeley.
