A 20 year old Lusaka man in Nyanga is being held in police cells after he was arrested for a murder and attempted murder that occurred over the weekend.
Police say the suspect stopped them while patrolling in the area and informed them about the incident that occurred at his house.
Upon police arrival on the scene two men were lying in a pool of blood and were assaulted with blunt objects.
Police spokesperson Captain Ntomboxolo Sitshitshi says one of the men was already deceased and the other one sustained injuries and was taken to hospital.
The suspect was detained on the scene and will appear in the Athlone Magistrate’s court today.
Sitshitshi said the incident is still under investigation.
