North West police have discovered a cooked human head, a liver and a basket full of entrails in a house in Khunwana Village, near Delareyville.
The remains belonged to 57-year-old Gopolang Elias Serache, were found at his relative home yesterday after he went missing on Friday.
Police say the owner claimed he was told by his ancestors to eat human flesh.
The 30 year old relative confessed to the killing, saying he killed Serache with a knife at his home and then, used a wheelbarrow to carry his body to his residence.
There, he cut him into pieces.
When police arrived at suspect’s house the flesh was already decomposing.
The suspect will appear in the Atamelang Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
