Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa and Deputy Minister Fikile Mbalula accompanied by police and airport senior officials will visit the Cape Town International Airport today.
Ministerial spokesperson Zweli Mnisi says the aim of the visit is to obtain first-hand information about the security measures in place ahead of the FIFA World Cup soccer tournament.
Mnisi says the schedule is as follows:
• Presentations by the airport management to the delegation.
• A walkabout at the different terminals.
Members of the media will be briefed thereafter.
