Criminals are continuing to target World Cup journalists. Mpumalanga police say four Chinese journalists were robbed early this morning at their lodge in Nelspruit.

The police’s Leonard Hlathi says armed men forced the journalists to lie on the floor while they ransacked the room.

They took two laptops, eight cellphones, two cameras, a camera light and two bags with documents before fleeing on foot.

The journalists were not injured.

Last week three reporters from Portugal and Spain were robbed at a lodge in Magaliesburg.

One was held at gunpoint as his equipment and cash were stolen. Police have however recovered some of the stolen goods.

Four suspects were arrested for the incident.
