Police are on the lookout for residents involved in the deaths of three suspected cable thieves in southern Johannesburg.
Three men in the area were caught by Neighbourhood patrol in the early hours of Wednesday.
The suspects were beaten for hours then locked up locked in their bakkie which was set alight.

The community found tools used for stealing cables in their car and decided to take the law into their own hands.
Residents said thieves deserved it and they will continue fighting for their electricity.
However, police said cannot take matters into their own hands no matter how deep the frustrations run.
