Five people to appear in court for drugs

A 48 year old man has been arrested in Mitchell’s Plain for being in possession of ten small packets of tik and fifty bigger packets of tik.
Police spokesperson Constable Jerome Voegt says police attended to a complaint in Crocus Street Lentegeur, upon arrival at the scene police searched the premises and confiscated one shotgun and four live round.
Voegt added that three adult males aged 28, 36, 46 and a 24 year old adult female were arrested. The suspects will appear in the Mitchell’s Plain Magistrate Court soon on a charge relating to possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
The Mitchell’s Plain police management would like to thank the community for their continuous support during the crime prevention operations and urge the public to contact their local sector commanders with information on illegal activities said Voegt.
