National Police Commissioner Bheki Cele has given the assurance that law enforcers would not be biased towards any political party in this month’s local government elections.
The commissioner was speaking in Table View, Cape Town; Cele said police would ensure that the polls would be free and fair.
Cele has also called for more sympathy for the dangerous work police have to do.
He added that in the last four months at least 25 officials have been killed, some of them on duty.
