Johannesburg police opened fire with rubber bullets on protestors who gathered again in Noordgesig in the south of the city this morning.

At least three people, including a woman, were wounded.

The demonstrators burnt tyres and blocked roads to underline how fed-up they are with continuous power blackouts amid an extremely cold snap.

In other parts of Johannesburg and areas of Ekurhuleni, people have also had to make do without electricity.
