Government is cracking down on school children who use performance enhancing drugs.

The law is being changed to allow for random tests and to grant authorities search and seize powers at schools where abuse is suspected.

Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula says no sporting code will be excluded from changes to legislation.

He added that the focus will initially fall on what is regarded as high risk codes, including swimming, cycling, athletics and rugby.
