Home Affairs apologises to elderly woman

Home Affairs has apologised for the disrespect its Limpopo officials had shown a 70-year-old woman.
When trying to apply for an identity document, officials in Polokwane told Paulinah Ragatji to bring her parents to prove her nationality.
Director-General Mkuseli Apleni says the department will do everything in its power to ensure that Ragatji receives an ID.
The director-general spoke out against the actions of the official who turned Ragatji away, warning that the official could face a disciplinary hearing.
