Junior doctors declare 15th of June a day of mourning

The Junior Doctors Association of South Africa has run out of patience with the killing, raping and mugging of doctors at public hospitals.

It says this week’s slaying of Dr Senzo Mkhize at Mpumalanga’s Middelburg Hospital is the last straw.

The Association calls public hospitals “homicide shelter” and condemns the satisfaction of the Department of Health in upgrading security.

The Junior Doctors have declared Wednesday the 15th of June a national day of mourning.

They call on every doctor and members of the public to support marches on that day to Parliament and the Union Buildings.
