Warning issued to late-comers at schools

Gauteng MEC Barbara Creecy has warned learners who are not in school on time that they can be found guilty of non-attendance.
Creecy launched Operation Wake Up in Diepsloot in Soweto, saying non-attendance is outlawed by the Schools Act.
The MEC warned pupils that they have to be at bus pick-up points before quarter to seven in the mornings.
Creecy asked families to make sure their children were ready for school on time.
