The National Planning Commission launched its development plan for South Africa today in Pretoria.

Chaired by Trevor Manuel, the commission presented a vision for the country that could be realised by the year 2030.

President Zuma tasked the commission to develop the report exactly 18 months ago in Parliament.

The Commission’s Mohammed Karaan says the key plan is to reduce poverty and inequality in the country.
