The International Diabetes Foundation says at least one in ten adults could have diabetes by the year 2030.

The number of people living with diabetes in Africa is expected to increase by 90-percent.

The IDF says 14-point-seven-million people in Africa are currently living with undiagnosed diabetes and the number is expected to rise, if no precautionary measures are taken.

Researchers say the number of people living with the disease is expected to soar to 552 million by 2030.

Last year, diabetes medicine totaled $ 35 billion.
