Gauteng police have confirmed that the Hawks have arrested two people in Pretoria and the Western Cape for alleged tender fraud. The suspects were apparently involved in the rigging of a tender worth 13-million rands.

The tender was awarded for guarding and special services at the National Prosecuting Authority's premises in KwaZulu-Natal in 2006.

The tender contract was subsequently terminated in 2009. The suspects, one of whom was a former employee of the NPA, will appear in court on Monday.
