13 die along Cape Town coast

City of Cape Town officials say 13 people have drowned at bathing spots in the Cape Peninsula since the 1  November 2011.

The most recent incident was of a young boy who drowned at Harmony Park Resort near Strand on yesterday.

At the Monwabisi Beach near Khayelitsha a man died after finding himself in distress in the water.

According to City officials at least four people lost their lives at beaches this weekend.
