12 people killed in an accident

In an accident in the Eastern Cape earlier today 12 people were killed.

The accident involved a Colt bakkie with eight occupants including a child.

The bakkie collided with a Mahindra carrying four passengers.

The Eastern Cape's Arrive Alive Spokesperson Tshepo Machaea said that the occupants of both vehicles died on the scene.

Machaea also said a third vehicle was also involved in which two people were slightly injured.
