Impala Platinum says that the ongoing illegal strike has cost its Rustenburg operation two-point-four-billion-Rands in lost revenue.

Implats officials say the North West operation is still set to reboot next week as almost 15-thousand mineworkers have been rehired.

Officials said that it remains unclear when full production will resume.

Implats' Rustenburg operation is the world's largest platinum mine.
