Rescue South Africa today said that they are not taking any chances ahead of cyclone Irina.

Rescue South Africa officials said they have set up a task force in KwaZulu-Natal ahead of the cyclone that is expected to cause flooding and torrential rain in Mozambique, KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo.

Earlier in this year six people died and hundreds were displaced in Mpumalanga and Limpopo during a similar storm.

Rescue South Africa's Ian Sher said they have 4x4s on standby, swift border rescue, rope rescue, and technicians.
