One man died after a car accident on the N2 near King Shaka Airport.
Two other people were seriously injured in the accident.
It is believed that both vehicles were travelling in the same direction when the driver of the bakkie lost control and collided with another vehicle.
Netcare 911’s Chris Botha said when paramedics arrived at the scene they found the driver of the bakkie still trapped in the vehicle, that was lying upside down on the highway.
He added that the paramedics assessed the man but found that he had tragically died on the scene due to the extensive injuries that he sustained.
The other two occupants from the other vehicle who were seriously injured, was treated on the scene and then transported to hospital.
