Cosatu and other South African organisations have welcomed the news that the ANC policy conferences firmer position on Palestine and also the proposed policy for boycotting Israeli products.
Cosatu’s Patrick Craven said that in some cases the complete sabotage of the basic rights of the people of Palestine is due to self to self governance and independence.
Craven said he hopes it will help to build up the pressure internationally from the Israeli Government to make concessions and to acknowledge the absolute justified demands of the people of Palestine to be freed from the occupation of Israeli troops.
He said we see other racial minorities treated as second class citizens and subjected to all sorts of brutal discriminatory treatment.
