Health Department encourages breastfeeding

In an attempt to promote breastfeeding among mothers with infants, the Provincial Department of Health will host a breastfeeding week event.

Breastfeeding is recommended for up to six moths of age to provide young infants with the nutrients they need.

Communications Officer for the District of Health, Sithembiso Magubane said that this just to promote breastfeeding.

He added that there would also be an attempt to make the world record by having many women breastfeeding at the same time.
