CDP call for openness on fracking

The Christian Democratic Party has called for openness and transparency in fracking.

 The Leader of the CDP Rev Theunis Botha says in order to exclude any corruption as far as extracting shale gas is concerned all activities need to be made known to the public.

Botha said that the country can not afford another scandal like the arms deal.

He added that hopeful the Agriculture South Africa appeal to the Constitutional Court on the government`s nationalization of mineral rights will be completed by the time extraction start.
