The Milk Producers Organisation of South Africa is warning the public of a possible milk shortage amid soaring production costs.

Organisation CEO Bertus de Jongh says all dairy products are becoming very expensive to produce and at the moment.

He says the country doesn’t produce sufficient milk for local demand.

He says this may result in shortages, which will unfortunately be reflected in the milk price.
