Newly renovated hospital in Maitland

Alexandra Hospital’s renovated Outpatient’s Department building was officially opened by the Western Cape Minister of Health, Mr Theuns Botha on Monday.

Construction to the hospital’s Outpatients Department building began last year in March and in August last year.

The cost of the new hospital cost roughly R4,6 million.

Principal Communications Officer for the department, Ethne Julius said additional space for physical examinations and dental treatment were made, including space for meetings with family groups, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
