SA bags 29 medals at the Paralympics

South Africa concludes their Paralympic campaign in London with a total of 29 medals, one less than in Beijing four years ago.
Team SA only managed eight gold medals in London as opposed to 21 in 2008 but are in 17th place on the medal ladder, second best on the continent after Tunisia who have nine golds.
A total of 18 medals to put them in 14th place overall.
With only six remaining medal events today the People’s Republic of China are at the moment still maintaining the top spot for the third consecutive Paralympics.
