Tenders for new universities to be advertised soon

Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande came under fire from African Christian Democratic Party leader Kenneth Meshoe in a parliamentary question.

Meshoe questioned why tenders for the new universities have not yet been advertised.

According to Nzimande the tenders will be advertised as soon the verification studies and designs have been completed.

The Department is planning to build universities in Mpumalanga and the Northern Cape.
