Gauteng Provincial Legislature launched the Gauteng Speaker’s forum

The Speaker of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature, Honorable, Lindiwe Maseko together with the Speakers of the 12 municipal Councils of Gauteng, today launched the Gauteng Speaker’s forum, an instrumental inter-active forum which assists Speakers from all municipalities `to interact and engage on matters relating to their offices and the broader constituency and institutions they represent.

Gugu Ndima Spokesperson for the Honorable Lindiwe Maseko said that the reason pertaining to the forum is to encourage public participation from communities.

Ndima further more said that more importantly make sure that people understand democratic resolutions that there are in the community in order to address some of the service delivery issues that there is.

The Forum was held at the Sandton Convention Centre and it was also the launching of the five year plan and the programs that will be unfolded by the speakers forum.
