MEC Carlisle gives taxi industry a “thumbs up”

Carlisle adds that historically, it has achieved great success through its own
volition, despite huge government interference.

on Monday held a prayer service for taxi operators in Worcester
Transport and
Public Works MEC Robin Carlisle said the taxi industry may not be perfect, but
it represents in many ways what is needed in the country.

Siphesihle Dube said that in his message to the taxi industry, acknowledging the
taxi industry for its important role it plays, as well as well wishes for the
industry over the festive season.
“The minister
wishes to congratulate the industry for its great strides over the years, and
SANTACO’s efforts to eradicate corruption and route invasions which were the
main cause of taxi violence” Dube added.
