Deputy General Secretary Moleko Phakedi: Farmworkers demands are justified

Deputy General Secretary of the Food and Allied Workers Union Moleko Phakedi said the strike for better wages is necessary and that FAWU will support the strike for as long as possible.

Phakedi said the demand of workers is inline with the material conditions they are exposed to firstly they are on of the poorly paid workers in the country and in the cultural sector.

Phakedi adds that the fact that they are demanding an increase and improved working and living conditions really is more than enough to justify the kind of increase that they are demanding.
