Kommetjie residents trying to make sense of couple killing

Shocked Kommetjie residents are trying to make sense of the death of a couple found shot dead in their home last week.

 Captain FC Van Wyfk said on Thursday around 8:30 am ocean view police attended a murder scene at a house in Clan Monroe Avenue where they found the body of a 51 year old Antonet Hesterman.

 Her body was found on a bed in the bedroom with gunshot wounds on the right side of her head and chest.

 Her husband was found on the couch with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

 Mr Hesterman was taken to Vincent Pallotti Hospital, where he was declared dead.

 Police found his 38special revolver on a chair in the bedroom.
