The South African Democratic Teachers Union has wished all 2013 matriculants success and urged them to start studying on the first day of school.

Schools inland opened yesterday and the coastal schools are expected to open on the 14th of January for the year 2013.

Sadtu Deputy Secretary Nkosana Dolopi said that the matrics must prepare well in advance for the year.

“When we reach November they must not be under any pressure to prepare for their exams” Dolopi said.

“One of the calls we are making is for government must prioritize their infrastructure development, making sure schools in the EasternCape and Limpopo do away with improper structures” Dolopi added.
