Air Transport Association AGM held in City

Over 700 leaders of the global aviation industry attended the 69th International Air Transport Association AGM to discuss the sector’s major issues.

Western Cape MEC of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Alan Winde said that hosting the event was strategically important as it placed our destination on the radar of the airline industry’s top bosses. 

Ministerial Spokesperson Bronwynne Jooste said the WC tourism industry employs more that 150 000 people, and last year visitors spent more than R18 billion in the country.

“We believe this will result in increased tourism in the Western Cape therefore play a major role in increasing tourism in the region” Jooste added.
