A 35 year-old man was shot dead in Nyanga taxi rank

A 35 year-old man was shot dead in Nyanga taxi on Thursday afternoon.

The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage and the police are investigating.

It is alleged that the shooting was as a result of the ongoing taxi violence that has been happening in the area.

Police Spokesperson Thembinkosi Kinana said the man is believed to be working in the taxi industry.

“No arrests have been made at this stage, we are appealing anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the culprits to contact the nearest police or call our crime stop number 08600 10 111,” Kinana added.
