Provincial police commissioners have full confidence in national commissioner Riah Phiyega's ability to perform her job.

This came out of a meeting that was held on Wednesday.

National spokesman Lieutenant-General Solomon Makgale said the provincial commissioners met on Wednesday and discussed the Independent Police Investigative Directorate investigation into Phiyega.

Makgale said despite the allegations and media reports about the National Commissioner, but the work continues as usual and nothing has changed in the operations in all levels.
