“We also concerned about what the city calls geographical location and people with disabilities are front of the line, but the city does not focus on these two aspects when it comes to the Delft Intergraded Project,” Louw added.
Over 5 000 Delft Community
members are expected to protest this week over poor service delivery,
inadequate house allocation, awareness on violence and abuse against women and
children in Delft.
The memorandum will be handed over
to the City of Cape Town and
will include the problems the residents are experiencing about the Delft
Integrated Housing Project.
Protestor Organiser Ashely Louw said
the march will focus on housing allocation process of the city, which is very
unfair in terms of the waiting list.
“We also concerned about what the city calls geographical location and people with disabilities are front of the line, but the city does not focus on these two aspects when it comes to the Delft Intergraded Project,” Louw added.
