One person died and two injured in an accident in Potchestroom

ER24 paramedics this afternoon
responded to an accident whereby a light motor vehicle rolled during a delivery
trip on the R501 and left one person died.
It is believed that the man was
traveling with two passengers when his vehicle rolled and ejected him from the
stationery vehicle.
ER24’s Luyanda Majija said when they
arrived on scene they immediately assisted and treated the surviving passengers,
who were found in a stable condition.
“The injured had back injuries injuries and
were transported to the Potchefstroom Hospital
She also said that one of the
paramedics on scene commented on the frequency of accidents on this road saying
this portion of the R501 was notorious for such incidents because of its narrow
nature.
Local authorities are investigating
the exact cause of the accident.
