A 20-year-old arrested for murder, attempted murder and robbery

A 20-year-old suspect was on Wednesday arrested by the Chatsworth Cluster Crime Intelligence together with the Cavendish Mobile Team. 

The suspects together with two other people were involved in a murder, attempted murder and a business robbery incident and the 20-year-old suspect he is appearing in the Pinetown Magistrate Court today.  The other two suspects are still on the run. 

Captain Thulani Zwane said it is alleged last year November the victim was at his tavern together with his wife when they were approached by three suspects who opened fire on the victim fatally wounding him.  His wife was also wounded during the shooting.

“The suspects allegedly took cash, cigarettes as well as liquor before they fled the scene using the victim’s vehicle” Zwane added.
