An accident in Heidelberg has left six people dead

Six people were killed late last night in an accident whereby a taxi overturned on the N3 near Heidelberg and left nine other people injured. 

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said it is appears that the six people died on impact and the exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation. 

“When we arrived there six people that had died due to the very severe injuries that they sustained.  Three were in a very critical condition and six others sustained serious injuries” Botha added.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said all the injured were treated on scene before being transferred to nearby hospital for further care.
