Two separate accidents leaves one person dead and 15 injured

Late Wednesday evening a woman in her 40’s died after she was knocked by a train in Bloemfontein. 

ER24 Spokesperson Luyanda Majija said when paremdeics arrived on the scene they found that the woman’s body was trapped beneath the train.  She died due to the severe head and chest injuries she sustained.

The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation. 

In another incident fifteen people were left injured when a taxi overturned in Sandton. 

It is believed the taxi collided with a light motor vehicle before it overturned serveral times coming to a standstill on its side in the intersection. 

ER24 Spokesperson Werner Vermaak said paremedics treated the injured on scene before transporting them to various hospitals for the care that they required.

The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
