A 45 year old man killed by community members in Philippi

Western Cape Police are still searching for suspects who murdered a 45-year-old man from Philippi in an alleged vigilante attack. 

It is believed that the man broke into a house in the area.  Provincial MEC of Community Safety Dan has also called community members to not take the law into their own hands. 

Police Spokesperson Andre Traut said circumstances surrounding the death of the 45 year-old man from Brown’s Farm are being investigated.

“He was killed by community members on Tuesday. No one has been arrested as yet.” Traut added.
