CWU: SAPO must stop misleading the public

The Communication Workers Union in Kwa Zulu
Natal expressd its disappointment in SAPO for misleading the public, by
announcing that the strike was over and that workers had to go back to work
when, in actual fact, it is still in progress.
The CWU Secretary in KZN, Thami Mzileni
expressed that they had signed no agreement with the employer, they were still
in the process of a legal strike and they would not stop until their demands
had been met.
He said “The strike against the post office
is not over” and that they were still in the middle of a strike because their
demands had not been met. He expressed that the strike would not be ending
until they felt that they demands were fulfilled by SAPO. They called on the
Post Office to re-withdraw their statement that they felt was misleading not
only the workers but the public too.
He went on to say that workers and their
members were still on the streets embarking on a legal strike against post
office.
