Man killed after roller collapses on him at a construction site

ER24 paramedics attended to an accident scene whereby a man was killed after a roller fell on him at the construction site on Inanda road in KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said paramedics found the man motionless underneath the vehicle. Paradmedics then had to crawl underneath the vehicle to determine the patients condition.

Meiring said once they were near the man they found the patient in a critical condition with his vital signs demenishing quickly. After the vehicle was successfully removed no vital signs were present. Paramedics performed CPR for some time but were unable to obtain any signs of life.

“The patient was later declared dead, the cause of the incident is unknown and local authorities were on scene to conduct further investigation” Meiring added.
