Police searching for a second suspect in an attempted robbery case

Durban police are searching for a suspect who fled before he and another suspect were planning to commit armed robbery. 

A 32-year-old suspect was shot and injured by police during the arrest of the suspect. 

Police Spokesperson Captain Thulani Zwane said when they approached these two suspects, it is alleged that one of them produced firearm and pointed against the members.

“The members returned fire fatally wounding one suspect and the second suspect ran away and an unlicensed firearm was found from the deceased. A case of attempted murder as well as possession of firearm was then opened.” Zwane added.
