Twenty suspects arrested for public violence and looting

Twenty suspects have been arrested and goods worth thousands of rands
were recovered following the looting of spaza shops mostly belonging to
foreigners at several villages in the Maake area.
It is alleged that residents embarked on a protest action calling for
service delivery but others started looting at shops.
Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said police were called arrested people for
looting the shops owned by foreigners.
Mulaudzi said the suspects will appear in court on Monday on charges of
theft and public violence.
