ER24 paramedics attended to an accident on
the N2 Highway
It is believed that a truck collided with a
bus which resulted in the accident. The exact details of the cause of the accident
will remain the subject of a police investigation.
ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said when
their paramedics arrived on scene they found two large vehicles sitting on the
middle of the road. A large construction truck had collided with the bus
blocking the intersection.
Meiring said on their assessments paramedics discovered that only
the driver of the vehicle had sustained injuries.
"Jaws of life equipment as well as a
crane had to be used to free the patient from the wreckage. Once the driver was
freed and his injuries were treated he was transported by ambulance to a nearby
hospital for further medical treatment." said Meiring
