Police investigating a murder of a man killed wearing a DA t-shirt

Minister of Police has confirmed that the police are investigating a criminal case into the recent murder of a man from Philippi. 

It is alleged that the man who was wearing a Democratic Alliance T-shirt was stoned to death and it is believed his murder was politically murder. 

Ministerial Spokesperson David Barritt said initial investigations show that this is a criminal case.

“The victim’s family came forward to say he was not involved in any politics or any political party and it seems that the direction the investigation is preceding is towards the criminal act not a political one.” Barritt added.
