The Minister of Mineral Resources
Advocate Ngoako Ramatlhodi said a basket of possibilities to end the mining
strike was given to the unions and business but a solution could not be
reached.
This as the minister on Tuesday
withdrew from the negotiations to resolve the four month long strike in the
platinum belt.
Minister Ramatlhodi said his main
role was to create an environment conducive for the parties to begin talking to
each other again and this has been achieved.
Ministerial Spokesperson Mahlodi
Muofhe said the reason why the Minister is withdrawing is because he sees that
the two parties have again open the space for more debates and are closer to
reaching agreements.
